Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026

Using Veritas

Veritas is a free app for practising debating, reasoning and law, run as a student project by Isaac E Williams. By using it you agree to these terms. You must be 13 or over.

Not legal advice

The Learn section explains the law of England and Wales in plain English for study. It is a revision aid, not legal advice, and it may contain mistakes or be out of date. For a real legal problem, speak to a solicitor or an advice service such as Citizens Advice. If you are ever arrested, ask for the free duty solicitor.

Scores and marking

VQ, ranks, Topic of the Day marks and Debate scores are for motivation and feedback. They are not an official or exam-board assessment of your ability.

Fair use

Please use Veritas for its purpose. Do not try to break, overload or misuse it, including any daily limits on AI matches, and do not use it to write hateful, threatening or illegal content.

Content

The lessons, questions and model answers were written for Veritas. Linked sources, such as legislation, judgments and Wikipedia articles, belong to their owners and have their own terms. Please do not copy Veritas content into another app or product without permission.

No guarantees

Veritas is provided free and as it is. Features may change, and it may sometimes be unavailable. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app develops. The app will tell you about important changes. Questions: veritas.app.support@gmail.com.
